can you talk about feminism?

eternallunar1
I don't really think about feminism too much and try to avoid the subject most of the time. But, I've always respectfully seen women as equals and not as a specific gender, and honestly I do very much believe all women should have their own rights. Everyone should have their own rights regardless of what gender you are. It's a shame that there are people out there who takes things way too far. I mean yeah, It does bother me that women are treated as a sexual object by most males where as they are actual human beings just like everyone else in the world. It's kind of like how most media portrayed women in the past as helpless damsels in distress weak characters. Then somewhere down the line, female characters started having better writing because we finally had the viewpoints of women and not just by men who wrote for women. Anyways, that's just what I think as someone who's not very good at talking about feminism. Dx

Oh common now, the wage caps has been debunked multiple times already. It’s fair to point out the flaws in the statistics. The median gap is calculated by lining up all men’s and women’s wages from top to bottom and comparing the number that falls in the middle for each gender. As with all averages, it smooths out nuances and doesn’t account for differences in specific job roles, age, or previous experience. The facts that ... men are more likely to work longer hours, they work a more dangerous job, they are likely to move, they are likely to work outside, they are more likely to participate in jobs in the STEM fields that are scalable ... are being ignored They are making more because of those reasons and that's all hidden under the idea that the reason that men and women make different amounts of money is because of their gender. I recommend reading the "studies", to analyze the matter before you gonna call someone an ass

Did you ever wonder? If companies can legally pay women less for the same work, why didn't they hire all women into their staff ?

They can legally pay women less for the same work. If pay is given out based on how much the employer decides, then there is nothing holding them back. Also, you make it sound like a huge part of your point is focused on maybe a couple countries, while all the stuff you stated isn't true for every one. There are many countries where rights between genders are vastly skewed. The feminist movement is on a global scale.

If I am on the wrong side there, I'll take being wrong. I get a lot of my information from the news which can be biased. If I'm wrong I'll take it though.

Its not paying someone more or less because of gender its just not paying them more than these other dudes. Sometimes people dont look at the fact "yeah this girl is paid less than that guy, but are the jobs the literal same?" How do you know why that guy gets paid that much? Maybe he has an extra task or thats from promotions. Im not saying this is always true but modern day feminism is dumb. Alot of the issues they push only benefit them or force the rights of others to be hindered

I agree with you, that women are being oppressed in some part of the world. But why don't you ask your self why the feminist movement prefer to bash men over the issue like "manspreading" or the nonexistent wage-cap and completely ignore the middle east and Africa, where women are really oppressed?

@Bruce sorry for calling you out when I was the one who was in the wrong.
