@momoichi Inuyasha chose Kagome. Koga had Ayame. Sesshomaru didn't marry Rin until she was an adult.

@kuharido after stringing her along while still wanting to be with kikyo
he wanted them both, he embraced kikyo, ready to be with her while also liking kagome
koga never faltered in his love for kagome. he told her point blank that he liked her and he kept that up.
INUYASHA got in between them like a jealous boyfriend while staying a tsundere and staying attached to kikyo
this is the issue with shoujo manga, the girl is ALWAYS cucked by the main guy and the side guy thats loved the main girl all along always gets iced out despite him being the loyal one /shoujo rant
regarding sesshomaru, its still creepy to basically raise a girl and then marry her. not every form of love has to be romantic, if the love had stayed platonic it would have still been just as meaningful for his character

@momoichi Koga already promised Ayame he would marry her but forgot. Then chasing after some other girl even though he forgot the promise he made to Ayame. He was practically engaged to Ayame.
Rin wasn't gonna marry anyone else. Especially not a human as she had a long time phobia of them but got better about it,
Sesshomaru was everything to her. She was an adult and understood what she was doing when she agreed to marry him. Sesshomaru is like a centuries old deity. No one in their right mind would pass up the chance to marry him.

@momoichi also after the events of the first series Sesshomaru leaves Rin with Kaede to live among humans and would just visit her occasionally. So Rin wasn't really raised by Sesshomaru but more so by Kaede in the village. When she gave birth it was in Kaede's village. She had plenty of time to meet other people and mature on her own without Sesshomaru

well damn fuck koga too.
you say she was an adult and understood, but as you said, she wasnt around anyone else. did she ever have the chance? and as for sesshomaru, he took care of her as a child, you have to admit he showed parental concern for her, so to assume parental love can expand to romantic is innately creepy

@momoichi I think it's normal to look out for anyone vulnerable. The way he protected her was seen as parental just cause she was a kid. He'd still protect an adult he cares about. Like he does in Yashahime like when he took Kirinmaru's attack full force to protect Rin and Jaken.
Feelings change too and most likely when he would visit she'd be getting older and developing a more independent personality. So I don't think it's creepy. Especially in that era.

@kuharido feelings can molt and change, but that doesnt make them valid
i dont think there is a form of love that you can show for a child that isnt familial, and for familial love to grow into anything with sexual connections is innately creepy
i mean, compared to the other guys hes still the most husbando apparently xD

Koga kept his promise though. He and his clan helped to raise Moroha too, Kagome and Inuyasha's daughter.
I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I say it's totally valid.
