Physical or Digital Media?

Which do you have a preference for?
Do you like owning music on CD/Vinyl compared to streaming music? (Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube)
Or having a hard copy of a game vs a digital copy?
Perhaps having a collection of books rather than having it on a Kindle/Nook?
Point is what is your preference when it comes to the topic of owning something physically vs something digitally? What are the pros and cons of each in your opinion.
Personally for me it's somewhere in between. I like owning a physical copy and holding it rather than just files on a screen, but I see the upside to owning some things digitally as well. I like to buy physical copies of books as to having a Kindle, same goes for Manga and Comics, but I'm a bit more flexible on that, where I only buy the stuff that I like and build a collection of my own. Same with Movies, I have my own Blu-ray collection on a shelf and also have Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Music is a different beast altogether and I'll add more to this post in due time.

I prefer physical copies of the media I have. I do have a sizable vinyl and CD collection as well as a sizable DVD and growing Blu-Ray collection. I also own a lot of books. But sometimes I feel as if I own too much stuff. My room is cramped and my basement isn't fairing much better. The pros to owning physical stuff is that you own something that may have value one day. Back in 2007 when I was 13, I bought the Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum DVD set for $60 brand new. Now I go to anime conventions and they're selling it for $300+ brand new. The cons is, they keep inventing new technology at a rapid pace making the stuff we have no obsolete within a few years. While DVDs are still popular, some say they'll be phased out by the mid 2020s like VHS was by the mid 2000s. Now they have 4K discs and who knows when they'll phase out Blu-Ray? Now they have 8K TVs even they still haven't even began broadcasting in 4K yet. The plus to digital media is you'll spend less money playing keeping up with the Jones'. But then again, most of it is stored on a cloud and when there is no internet, you have access to it unlike a physical machine that can play media discs.
