Could it be worth purchasing a restricted quantity anime action figure?

Anime figures tend in order to go out of printing, and after that stage their price starts heading up… However it doesn’t very go up forever. Essentially, 2 years after printing some figure can cost double of original price or more.I perfer to accept buying a KO toys from AFS store:https://actionfiguresale.com,price is nice . Basically, try to roughly imagine how much positive emotions you’ll have from buying that figure, getting it home, unwrapping it, placing on the shelf, etc . Then think if it is worth the money. Do you WANT that figure? If you’re thinking about reselling them…. well…

Most figs will eventually bottom out in value and become worthless once people forget what it's from and move on.

Indeed. Things eventually find a stable price in the second hand market. I hear it a lot form people in game collecting that certain titles are only seen as valuable due to the perceived rarity and not the quality of the game itself. Thus when people want to sell off or downsize their collections those are usually the first to go and the market gets flooded with them, leading to people realizing they're not worth the hundreds of dollars people were asking for them. It's all supply and demand.

(I'm just gonna bump this so the spambot's thread isn't showing on the home page.)

If you are a guy who never resells his figures, then I don't see an issue with getting one. Better have it sitting beautifully on your shelf for the next generation to see rather than just have an empty shelf :3

You mean like the VA's autographs? That would be pretty cool, tho kinda hard to do if you're out of Japan and have a day-job. Kinda can see the value in them tho *-*
