Was wondering if any people in the northern Chicago suburbs do any kind of anime meet up? Trying yo make some new buddies if I can

I live in Niles if you want to meet up at a convention or something? I'm only just now getting into the public anime scene so I'm trying to ease my way into it. I'm always open to meeting new people though!
