What if animes had a different name?

Ok so the topic name may be a little vague but I didn't want to have a super long complicated title. So I was hanging out with a friend and I said "hey man what if Naruto wasn't called Naruto?" and he said "maybe something like My Hokage is actually a Knuckle-headed Ninja?!" and we both burst out laughing. I dunno it's kind of a random anime game that is "deep" but stupid but I noticed it takes time to find a funny one. Like if Yu-gi-oh! had a different name, it would probably be called Duel Monsters or King of Games and that's not really funny. Maybe it's easier when you take anything and make it sound like the title of a light novel adaptation.

It would definitively affect marketability although it depends. Note of Death is kind of okay but Killer Book would have hurt sales I think. There's a detective american tv show called Murder She Wrote (because the detective write murder novels) so it could be funny if Death Note was called Murder He Wrote because it just sounds goofy. But some titles sounds so good I like pronouncing it for no reason sometimes. Ghost in the Shell is one of those. I think the fact that it was ahead of its time and the animation would still have made it famous regardless of its title. Come to think of it, Rurouni Kenshin has the alternative name Samurai X but I don't know why they changed the name or if it had an effect on its marketability. Personally I would just have translated it to Kenshin the Wanderer. It's also weird because the main character isn't a samurai at all and never has been, and doesn't follow bushido. It sounded stylish I guess. Gunnm is also Battle Angel Alita I think? But I barely know anything about Gunnm so I don't really have an opinion on the matter.
