Meat eaters are just oblivious to the fact that they are complicit in that their food choices harm animals. Completely detached from that, they don't see haw the sausage is made.

There is a lot of information about plants having feelings. In terms of sentience that's a hard thing to impose. What makes us sentient is questioning our own existence. No animal does that, only humans do. You're just throwing out plants having feelings just because they operate in a different way. What would happen if you had definite proof they felt? Would you feel bad? Personally if I don't eat meat, particularly red meat my energy drops. Even if I have nuts and/or beans. It's been noted that iron is better absorbed from red meat so I figure it's that. Also, if I don't eat meat and bread I never feel quite full and will keep eating. These are personal things about my body. Everyone has little differences like that. I got an aunt with anemia who barely eats meat and the doctor keeps pushing her to eat some steak cause it would help her iron levels. She doesn't seem to get it as well from plant based iron. I'm not sure why it's the case. Maybe it's our ethnic backround but who knows. That is something unique for an individual.
