I gave you the reasons already. Society dictates what is immoral, but in a society that doesnt see it as immoral it is more prevalent. Lesser developed countries eating dogs totally ok, in America where we have a choice we often choose not to eat the dog. Because it is a pet, you typically cannot have a cow as a pet. I dont want to eat a dog not because its immoral but because i genuinely dont want to. Your revolving door argument wont bait me into admiting eating animals is wrong. Other animals do it we ourselves are also animals.

@hell_hound7 I keep asking why. If this sounds repetitive it's because you don't give me a straight answer. Listing off other animals isn't a reason why you don't want to eat a dog. I keep trying to rephrase it in a way that helps you search for this answer. This isn't bait, this is trying to find out what you think so I can attack it, ala how debates work, but you can't deliver your own opinion for me to counter. I don't care about people who do eat dogs, I care about what you do because I'm in a debate with you, not them. I just want to know why you have this seeming contradiction where dogs=yucky but cows=yummy. Maybe we can go to name the trait to simplify things if you really don't know why you don't want to eat dogs, because I understand that moral systems can sometimes involve introspection as to why we feel the way we feel. What traits or set of traits do animals possess that humans do not that allow you to forgo their moral consideration?

Why does this matter? There is no way to justify a preference. You are gonna ask gay people why they are gay? Or trans why they are trans? Its what they are attracted to/feel. I find beef appealing because i have had it before, i havent had lamb i havent had idfk shark fin and whatever else and i dont intend to because i dont know what it tastes like. Plus even if i wanted to eat a dog that would mean me having to kill a thing i consider a friend in order to eat it. This argument is literally dumb.

@hell_hound7 There are absolutely justifications to preferences. I prefer not to sleep on the floor because it gives me neck pain. Just because something is an opinion doesn't mean there isn't logic behind it. So if you had dog meat before you think it would be appealing to you now? How do you know you don't like something before you try it? What if dog meat was revered for its delicious taste, it was a delicacy for how moist and savory the flesh was, would you be interested in trying it then?

Asking me why i prefer not to eat a dog is like asking why does someone like curvy women "You like curvy women why? Because its nice to look at Why is it nice to look at? Because i am attracted to it Why are you attracted to it? I dont know i just am But thats not an answer." ^This is your entire argument in a nutshell

"Why do you like curvy women?" "Because the monkey part of my brain sees those curves and links it to the fact that they must have a lot of estrogen for the fat to stick to those areas, and if she has big hips it means that child birth will be less stressful on her body." this is the proper answer to that question. not "I just like it for no real reason at all"

I dont even like macaroni and cheese and its revered by everyone. And news flash i never even tried macaroni and cheese i just prefer not to eat it. There is no reason for it at all. Its just not something i have eaten before and i am a picky eater with a very limited palate.

@hell_hound7 What do you think your instincts are? They are the monkey, or lizard, part of your brain. Snake=scary. Spider=scary. Curvy lady=possible mate People who like skinny women probz think "She has a low bmi so she is most likely healthy and would be a good candidate for living a long life with." All preferences are based on something inside our head, this is psychology 101. Even people with weird ass fetishes get it from somewhere, usually their childhood. And so you wouldn't eat dog meat even if it was known for being super tastey? Why? You say you dislike mac and cheese so I assume you've tastes it before, why not taste dog meat if its so yummy? What's stopping you? Could I be so bold as to assume it's because you love dogs and wouldn't want to know that you contributed to the slaughter of one?

That is not how it works lol me not wanting to eat a dog is simply due to the fact i never had it before. There are also parts of an animal i do eat that i wont try. Like i eat turkey breast but wont eat turkey neck. Why? What is different? Tastes? Texture? The way it looks? If i close my eyes its all the same. I simply just dont wanna eat it. There is no justification. It cant be linked to a monkey.
