Slice of life, vs Shounen

So something I've been thinking about, Would you rather live in a shounen anime, where everyone had fantastic abilities, but you have to constantly fight, or would you prefer to live in a slice of life anime, where nothing really happens, but you have a nice time and maybe find a romantic partner and have a nice time?
