Unless they're other large sea animals we don't know about (which is possible) it's unlikely they survived to the modern day, especially with humans over-whaling in the previous centuries. I believe if there were to be large sharks still swimming around, they would be a new species as opposed to the Megalodons of old.

I mean I can tolerate every animal to a point but somehow I can't tolerate snake... they're not scary ... but not normal? feels very unnatural... and then that giant boa ... NOPE NOPE NOPE!!!!
