"Don't think I have the right figure for starters." onizuka: while I understand because I am very self-conscious myself, I think you don't give yourself enough credit. Like, if you wanna do it but that's the only reason stopping you, don't let it stop it. There are many kinds of girls and you have to work with what you have, not try to fit a standard. Dressing is also a form of illusion, like, with a skirt or a dress you can hide the non-existent hips that men usually have. Hide imperfections and emphasize certain traits so it will attract attention and people will tend to notice flaws less. Even if you have a giant square jaw, you could still wear one of those cat face mask.

Well, I guess then I just need a local friend who is part of the community. Then they could give me a makeover and let me wear their stuff. :P

I would by necessity need to cover my face in public or in any pictures anyways. Cross dressing can really easily get you blacklisted from teaching.

That is pretty much the US in general though. Many schools have very vague "morality" clauses you must agree to to work for them. Anything they consider to be "sexually deviant" tends to fall under them, and you are subject to the rules even in your private time (to uphold the schools image).

Then don't be a teacher. Be something else. Or at least move to the west coast where there will be more people willing to fight to have such a restriction removed.

I need money to move first :P. But I do intend to move eventually. I actually long term will probably move to Europe. Have just not settled on a specific country yet.

What Rin said I agree with for the most part. I'd argue against the notion of hiding "imperfections" however. In my view, every person is unique, and what some may view as a flaw, others may view as an attractive quality :3 Just be who you feel you are and deny the notion of "I'm not good enough." And on the topic of teachers crossdressing: I actually know a teacher who is a GORGEOUS CD~ Of course I'm sure no one knows it among her faculty (and of course this is California), but I think it's natural to hide that side of someone when starting out for anyone XP
