I've been answering all scam calls today and seeing how far I can make it giving made up personal info. So far I only got to the end once today and it took 20 mins. Gave the guy a fake name, a real address I looked up really quickly, and fake vehicle info. Somehow he looked up the address and said there was a new car purchased with that address listed recently so I told him it was my wife that bought it under my name. He was "selling" vehicle warranty stuff so when it came time to give him my card info I gave him the info to an old Visa Gift card I have with like $2 left on it and I swear I heard him chuckle a little when I gave him the card info. Then he hung up on me mid sentence shortly after that. Man I gotta admit it's going to be a funny encounter for him when he tells his manager he got a sucker finally, only to learn he was played for 20 mins because he only confirmed the address was a real place. I'm even thinking about making premade fake identities so when I answer these calls I can have them proceed a lot smoother.

@ikunikudiku If you ever get sick of them, I have an app called Call Control that lets me block numbers by their area codes. But it probably works so well since I have a number from a state I used to live in. Anything that pops up from that region just gets axed automatically. People can still text you. Now I just need to find one that monitor's texting for the next political whatever.

I rarely get them now unless it is like a new scam I started answering "Thank you for calling Cletus's Pizza shop and funeral parlor where we make sure your loved one can still come home for dinner one more time."
