The Immigrate Caravan

Africa is an entire continent (a very large one at that), not a country though. Not every country in Africa is "plunging into it's own death" or is a warzone.

@Neo & Muggleborn: Hell, just the other day I was in a chat with a South African, born and raised. Discussing the state of his area, the vast increase in racial based murder, etc. Then some American Liberal came in and started telling HIM the state of his own country, and that's the shit I hate. They read a news story or two and suddenly they find themselves experts who know more than the people actually living through it.

It's just a bit annoying since a lot of people seem to like to use Africa as a general example of the "third world" when it's a large continent with many countries. It's also interesting that someone brought up the immigrants as being 'third world' when there are parts of the US that you literally could consider third world due to the quality of life, infrastructure, food and water quality, education level, etc. and I mean, South Africa is a touchy situation. The native Africans who lived under apartheid up until 1994 of course are going to harbor some lingering hatred. It's not exactly old news or something that happened generations ago. How are people even surprised that the racial relations are extremely volatile?

無名: You're right, there are many parts of the U.S that have fallen into disrepair. Though if you'll take a look at what areas, you'll find that they're mainly dominated by one certain party.

Well I don't know, I'm pretty sure that "Africa is a big continent with many countries" was your hill to die on. Also, the native South Africans are the whites. The entire are was uninhabited due to poor soil when the Dutch found it and made it into livable land. It was at that point that the Africans came to live there.
