Best anime series since 2016?

Hey friends. It's been over 2 years since I've watched anime. I gave it up to live a more active lifestyle, but I'm ready to live quietly again. In your opinions, what are the best anime that have been released since 2016? I prefer military, historical and romance and avoid horror. I also prefer more mature series over the cute kind. Any exciting suggestions?
