Metric vs Imperial System

Did you make this thread in response to me saying if I was dictator of the US I would adopt the metric system? I was serious about that. I'll admit I don't really use it in real life (because America) although in my fictional works I always use it. So while I disagree with you on Celsius vs Fahrenheit, I do say writing the month before the day in the Imperial system makes more sense merely because that is how we say it in English. But perhaps that is me being ethnocentric. I don't care, that is how I feel.
