About smalltalk/deeptalk

I can do small talk, but I think I prefer deep talk because the conversation can last longer and I believe you can establish a better connection with the people you are talking with. Plus, deep talk is a lot more interesting.

Of course deeper conversations are more meaningful and are preferable by default. Small talk for the sake of small talk is boring, but if it can lead to a more meaningful conversation then it can be useful. Otherwise, I have no aversion to people asking me how I am feeling or if anything interesting happened today or what is my take on this topic or that topic.

I’d say both. I like small talk because it can be fun, and deep talk can be interesting. Small talk is good for making new friends (even just with friends it’s great). With deep talk you get to really know more about whoever your talking to. I’ve always liked deep talk but haven’t had much of a chance to except with my close friends.

I can turn small talk into deep talk;however usually the other party doesn't know how to respond back unless they are truly curious about ALL, or rather they are knowledge-seekers or sages. I'm fine with talking to good conversationalists about random/light-hearted stuff. I post/send memes of various themes to start new discussions with contacts I have known...I can talk endlessly about deep stuff in some cases...My responses are late mainly because of my avoidant traits... As for strangers...I'm not sure what to discuss with them if they are also reserved and bad at conversations.. Also, my conversational style disappoints strangers who attempt to seduce me...or have other ulterior motives... *pats their heads People know me slowly, I know people slowly too.Laifu~

I usually start conversations with the first thing that pops up in my head. It usually involves something deep. People tend to stop talking but I believe it's the best way to find someone that actually respects you as the person you really are. Of course I do ovethink sometimes but I just try to remind myself of who I am.

Small talk for me is only good for warming up in a conversation, so I start off with it but I go into deep talk quite quickly since that's where the best conversations are!
