Can People Just Stop Being Creepy and Hostile

Just today a new user who I've befriended and is super nice decided to disable her account and leave altogether because of the constant barrage of creepy requests and weirdos getting pissy over her not responding instantly and while I'm happy we're talking elsewhere, it's just really sad to see people get driven away from here thanks to these undesirables. I know this topic is probably redundant and pointless because this will probably never stop happening but it's honestly really damn sad at this point. We should be creating a nice, pleasant and welcoming environment to newcomers - not creep them the fuck out. I've met some good friends from this site who I'm happy I still talk to months and even years after meeting but several of them have been driven away from MO because of people being creepy or hostile for no reason and it's just sad. Have you dealt with people like this during your time here? And if so how much does it happen and what sort of things do they say that makes you instantly unfriend and block them?

I am sorry your friend gone through that. That is just plain crazy. We need to understand that the other person on the other side of the device has a life too. We must never expect that person to send a message back. Just wait for it and just focus on your life and not let a non-talkative person online hurt you.

Every female user I've spoken to on this site basically has said the same thing. Now they haven't like deactivated all together like the person you used in your example but yeah. Lots of stories of guys being cringy in their DMs. It's kinda mind-boggling really, is it really that hard to just act like a sane person?

@blacksamurai782 - Exactly, like the majority of us are not in front of our computers or our phones 24/7 responding to literally everybody that messages us. People seriously need to learn to respect the time and schedules of others and just have some patience for once. And in some cases, mind their own damn business when someone clearly isn't interested in sending certain types of photos. It really is a simple matter of basic respect - it's sad seeing so many people lack any knowledge of that concept. @Otakaiser - Oh same, all my female friends I met on here (some are still active) has had these sorts of people message them except for maybe one. I'll wholly admit I have a couple of horror stories of people being like this to myself from this site. Either people are stupid, desperate or both. Most likely both.

CREEPY AND NEEDY GUYS CANNOT LAND ANYBODY BECAUSE THEY ARE WAY TOO SELF-CENTERED AND PROBABLY HAVE ATTACHMENT ISSUES.THESE TRAITS WILL DESTORY LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS. ALSO THEY MAY BE BORING TO TALK TO BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE SOULS.
