Ranting about college

warmblood2
I hate college. I absolutely hate it. The majority of them are liberal indoctrination camps that have professors that are so consumed with there ideology it's border line personality disorder. The students are a bunch of poorly dressed freaks that seem to have sexualities instead of personalities. They have hundreds of classes that are nothing but long slogs into indoctrination into extreme social and political liberalism. That would be fine if people could choose to take these classes, but no people are required to take many of these kinds of classes to major in anything. They are constantly taking about how oppressed they are when they are call half the country 'evil' everyday for not believing the same things as them. Most of there ideas are pure insanity and would never work in real life with any sort of practicality anyway.

But when you get that degree people in this country look at you as better then those that don't it's why we grind nonsense sometimes

Huh, to be honest my experience with college was super normal. I think I only saw like a handful of people who fit the "SJW librul" criteria and one professor who even bothered sharing their political views at all (which were pretty moderate). Maybe it was less apparent to me because I was too focused on my own goals to pay attention to anyone else? *shrug*

Currently in school too, I wouldn't say I hate it but I understand where your coming from. Depending on the class, people tend to rant on about how they feel oppressed (minority or not), and it can feel like a pity party sometimes and I dont like that either. I've learned to laugh at people (in my head) who have insane ideas or say something stupid, just makse the day better to be honest. On the other hand though, its good to surround ourselves with people who dont think exactly like ourselves. Diversity in thought is key.

The moment I read the word indoctrination, I couldn't help but feel like I would want to ask your professors this: https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/130/899/1307296971241.jpg But in all honesty with silly memes aside, I never experienced any of this myself personally. Maybe colleges in the UK are much more laid back or at least the one I used to attend was and I enjoyed it way, WAY more than school. I imagine it depends heavily on the people around you and how openly opinionated there are so I imagine this can happen in all countries.

I enjoy debating as well but I believe everyone's entitled to their on opinions truly no matter how wrong I believe their opinions are I entertain them and try to understand their perspective with is fun for me so I don't mind when someone has outlandish believes as long as they truly believe in them and aren't ranting for the sake of ranting

^That guy gets it. I see no point in trying to 'prove people wrong' or 'destroy them with facts' seems like a waste of energy, and they'll never believe or admit that you proved them wrong. So like what's the point? All you did was cause an unnecessary confrontation over something that doesn't really matter much and there's no resolution aside from what you believe you accomplished. The narrative would be different for each party so the 'reality' depends on which side you're on.
