ANTS

I love ants. Who else loves ants? Even caught myself an ant queen. Her name is Atta and she's a strong independent ant wamen. That doesn't stop me from spoiling her, though. https://i.imgur.com/m6hJPBR.jpg

I love them too.. its fun to play with them! Occasionally when i see ants moving in a line for food, i clear a part of their line army and draw a big maze with soap/other repellents. And funny enough after sometime the ants actually solve the maze and continue towards their goal XD

I remember a co-worker having an ant problem. They were told to use chili powder, or something like that, and spread it around the bottom half of their door frame. To act like a Lava River. It worked, until the ants build a bridge out of grass. So... Do not underestimate them.

Ants are amazing at problem solving indeed. I like the fact that some species of ants keep aphids as pets. The aphids feast on plants and excrete honeydew, which in turn is a yummy snack to ants. The ants not only defend their aphids from predators, but they also move the mostly immobile aphids to fresh plants, in case the current plant withers or dies. It's pretty amazing what ants are capable of.
