Sad but sorta funny?

So I have a therapist I go to every week, and it’s the only social interaction I get with anyone outside my house. One session I had nothing to talk about and I randomly asked “wanna go get ice cream?” My therapist smiled and said yes. So we go down the street to a ice cream parlor and I pay for it since it’s my idea, I’m all happy then it dawns on me... I’m paying someone to spend time with me and eat ice cream with. Wow do I feel super lame... Well I hope this story makes at least someone smile haha.

Either way, ice cream. Ya know, it's best to just laugh off things like this. It's silly, but really not stupid or pathetic. I mean, did you enjoy and was it in a sense, therapeutic? Now you can just talk about ice cream, the next time. XD

Thanks guys @Lycan Bladefang well when it’s your friend you spend money on them or with them to spend time with them that seems common, it’s just that with me I’m also paying this person to well... socialize with me idk.. I feel bad I guess @ohnoes ya I guess you’re right haha

This is funny, since I recently returned from my therapist, who I also see weekly. I have no friends, but could never imagine doing something like this with her (or paying anyone for company, for that matter). I don't think this makes you lame. Pretty brave, rather. You're socializing. You're gaining experience. I'm sure your therapist is happy you even asked.
