Your Personality Type Is...
Researcher (VDI-P)
VISIONARY 64%
DILIGENT 54%
INTROVERTED 61%
PERFECTING
Researchers are experts at cutting through the fluff to get to what matters. Intelligent, ambitious, perfectionistic, and rare, Researchers strive to improve their interests, and themselves. Researchers are success-driven, and when they decide to get something done, they push hard, with a quiet determination that has even their distant seniors taking notes.
It’s hard to argue with Researchers’ goals and strategies. Thinking long and hard until their ideas are fully formed, Researchers may not offer many suggestions at first, preferring to avoid the limelight and stay quiet during meetings. But when they do recommend a course of action, their highly organized and logical plans are so keenly insightful that even the most confusing situations seem clear and navigable.
Difficult projects and tight deadlines stress Researchers out, but also kick them into high gear. They are inventive and curious, with sharp minds, and such situations extend Researchers’ aura of intelligence and command. They can have sharp tongues, too – counterproductive suggestions can show just how sensitive to failure Researchers really are, and how harsh they can be when faced with the prospect.
To counter this, Researchers strive to be jacks-of-all-trades. But unlike less organized Observant types, Researchers are systematic, learning for the sake of control. In order to ensure the success of their projects, Researchers familiarize themselves with every component of those projects. Leaving things to fate or the ineptitude of others is a risk they can hardly bear – but this attitude often pays off.
Researchers often overdo it though. They are perfectionists, and they push themselves hard to meet their own highest standards. It’s important for Researchers to accept a little bit of fatalism in their lives, if only for their own health. Not everything can be predicted or changed or controlled, nor should it be.
Researchers are highly intuitive and original, and beneath their often cold, stoic exteriors there actually lies a quirky sense of humor. Their ability to make connections between seemingly unrelated things lets them speak ironic and often hilarious truths. It can take some time to navigate their shields, of which their humor is a part, but for those who appreciate a cutting wit, it’s well worth the effort.
This air of confidence and (often self-deprecating) humor protects what Researchers would never admit – that beneath it all, they are plagued by emotional turbulence and self-doubt. Researchers push themselves, hard, and while this helps them to be successful just about anywhere they apply their efforts, it also means their failures haunt them bitterly, and woe to those who mock them.
This sensitivity is not the weakness it appears to be though. It gives context to Researchers’ challenges, a sense of motivation to improve at their many interests. It balances a success-driven perspective with introspection and reflection, providing Researchers with a deeper sense of motivation than more unmovable personalities experience. It allows Researchers to engage unique possibilities, not just in what they do, but in who they are and who they are meant to be, which is well worth the turmoil.
ฺ(- -;ก) i don't wholeheartedly believe in these types of tests but they are always fun to do (ㅅ´ ˘ `)
