MegaCon 2018

I'll be attending MegaCon this year. I'll be one of the many cosplaying as characters from My Hero Academy. Like previous years, it will be at the Orange County Convention Center. I'll be mostly hanging around one of the vendors titled PaintingsByDAD. He is a dear friend of mine who sells incredible art and takes custom orders as well. I'll say, keep your expectations low. I've been told by some convention friends that the guy to girl ratio is like 9:1. Be prepared to fight I suppose. Also, most of the girls participate as a joke most of the time. This is assuming you're straight haha. But yeah, don't let it deter you too much. No harm in trying. My advice, just enjoy the convention and do your own thing. I had a few onlookers gaze at me from afar thinking I didn't notice them :3. I thought it was cute.

Gotcha. I don't really have any other reason to go. I can find all the merch for sale there cheaper online, and I don't much care for anime dub celebrities.

Well, I got to meet Charles Martinet (voice behind mario) and I was freaking out. It's about the experience. We all know that vendors sell pretty overpriced stuff, but they need that support. If you like their artwork or crafts, than support them. Also, there are some vendors that sell fairly priced items. You get to say I got this from ______ con, instead of oh.. I bought it online. There are plenty of panels and events to enjoy too.
