Don't trust the institutions that train you and take your money. I swear, I've spoke to 50 people in the last 2 weeks that are just finishing up school and got certified for me to only tell them, "hey sorry, but the industry standards have changed and if you have any hope what so ever of working in an Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or Hospital setting, you need to go straight back to school and get certified in Acute Care." It's like the colleges are actively working against them.
**I should add, this is graduate level training they are receving, these are people who are getting Masters or PhDs in Nursing. So fucking dumb. They all just wasted thousands of dollars and time.
Here are a few I love. 1. Never take life too serious. 2. Low expectations leads to less disappointment. 3. Always carry between $40-$100 in cash in case of emergencies. 4. People's thoughts and opinions about you do not mean anything unless you let them mean something. 5. Cutting people out of your life is okay and does not make you a bad person. 6. Your happiness and well being matters and comes first.
