Straight or Bi - and how did you realize?

kurigeru1912
I'm a 16-year-old girl and wondering if i'm Bi or not for a long time now. Idk but i have kinda a phobia of talking to boys and that's pretty awkward because talking to girls is no problem.. and sometimes i can imagine dating a girl better than dating a boy.. I'm really insecure and socially awkward haha so i tried finding answers here so: anyone who went through the same thing and can explain it to me?:3

Same here, I guess similar to Fox Queen but I realized and accepted the fact way too late... well, never too late I guess, but I wish I was younger because I luv to dress & makeups... ;) I went thru some and currently am in a relationship with my opposite sex, and I really love her for who she is (and she knows I'm a bi) Remember, there's always a good time and a bad time, but sexual orientation doesn't matter. :) I hope you'll find things, places, or people you'll feel comfortable with. Go have fun, enjoy life, and stay out of "illegal stuff" LoL

your in a self discovery phase. just date whoever you feel really close too or find super interesting. youll know for sure if your bi or straight in a few years,...or....you may switch every year or so like my sister did lol. i am straight, but i mainly classify myself as such cuz i find the female body more attractive than the male. and wouldnt ever in a million years take anything up the ass. might be easier for boys to figure out then girls lol.. Good Luck!

dont put yourself in a box. there is no reason to label yourself as a specific sexuality! just wait and with time you will gravitate towards the people that call to you.

In my experience, girls respond to other girls emotional needs far better than boys. That is why I feel more girls reach out to others that are going through the same issues especially during their mid teens. Boys for the most part can't and don't want to understand hormonal and emotional needs because they can't relate. Being a guy I look back and see how close minded I was. Afraid to be labeled or ridiculed as kid would do at that age for trying to understand. In a nutshell, go with your feelings and explore, no choice is wrong and don't let anyone tell you different. Don't give in to pressure either! Let it be your decision and yours alone!

I guess I've kinda always had the thoughts during my life but I was suppressing them. It wasn't until I finally decided to go through with having a.. *ahem* "physical experience".. with the same sex a few years back that was actually able to confirm being bi. It was driving me a little crazy not knowing for sure so one day I just decided to go through with it. It was very liberating, though I'm not able to be open about it with everyone in my life unfortunately.
