You can be friends with someone irl and not know they're a serial killer or something fucked up like that It takes you actually getting to know someone to know them

I think what he's trying to say is that its much easier to get to know someone when you physically see and meet with them on a daily/weekly basis rather than occasionally talking on the internet. Sure it takes time to know someone on a deeper level but the process is easier if you know them IRL.

@deri Yes, again it depends on how often you interact, people can easily maintain a persona online. Its much harder to maintain a persona irl on the regular. Therefore its easier to figure someone out if you interact with them irl

@deri Yeah it is possible but its harder to "maintain". Its tiring to do it on the daily. Everyone does it to a certain extent, so its easy to spot someone thats pretending to be someone they are not IN REAL LIFE with some observation. That is much harder to do online :P Its all just a discussion no drama, its interesting to talk about

I'm talking with a buddy via internet for over 10 years now and he knows me better than other irl friends.
