My friend literally just sent me this mix of retro J-Pop. It's called City Pop. Haven't listened to the whole thing, but it is quite catchy.

IT IS MY FAVORITE. City Pop is probably one of my favorite genres. As for artists, the queens of the 80s - Akina Nakamori ("Mi Amore", "Tattoo", "Desire", etc) and ANRI ("Shyness Boy", "Windy Summer", etc) are my two favorites - especially ANRI, I enjoy every last one of her albums, with Timely!! being my all-time favorite. Kaoru Akimoto's album "Cologne" is also flawless. I also adore Yumi Arai, Cindy, Junko Ohashi, Junko Yagami, UA, BaBe, Kawai Sonoko, just to name a few. If ever in need of recommendations, feel free to hit me up.
