Cursive isn't a uniquely English thing. Cursive exist in many languages outside of English.

i know. just saying it's a shame it's not being taught. We're like losing the art of calligraphy, because so many people don't use it anymore. It's so sad.

I was taught cursive, but its really whatever for me. It has its advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is that it is indeed faster to right in cursive vs normal writing. A disadvantage is that less people can read it, because as you say and I agree, it wasn't really taught.

I think a caligraphy class in school would've been dank. Maybe I'm weird idk.
