@wallace That is not true feminism, that is just misandry and nothing else. That is another peeve of mine as well as MRAs(men, mostly 20-30 something year old gamers, who want women to go back to "old times" of being in the kitchen, pretending to fight for men's rights, when they really just want to set women back more than they want to help men who lose court battles and such). I hate when girls with long hair are standing in front of you, aware that they are in a line, and they quickly turn their head and smack your face with their hair. Even worse when they are wearing a ponytail or don't notice that they just blinded you by poking your eyes out with the sharp ends of their hair strands. Lolicon/harem/moe ecchi fanservice anime. Guys who expect real girls to be/act like above. Weeaboos. The delusional ones who are so hardcore weeaboo that they believe they're Japanese or reincarnated from Japanese, and refuse anything that isn't Japanese in their lifestyle(and most often don't know how real Japanese culture is other than slice-of-life anime). Especially ones who are "know-it-all" and try to spread false knowledge about Japan/Japanese. That is extremely insulting for me. Creepy guys who hit on you when they don't even know you and can't seem to talk/type like normal and pretend to be interested in whatever you say, but obviously just want in your pants.

"Lolicon/harem/moe ecchi fanservice anime" Lol! That's like half the anime in existence! But only naive idiots actually expect real girls to act like this. I hate it when people neglect or abuse animals.

Yeah, that's why I only watch like 1 or 2 anime per season. xD I have to exclude those, and then pick from the few that aren't, and hope there's something actually interesting to me. @_@ Animal abuse really sucks too. Child abuse too. Abuse of anyone/anything really.

So is this a "what I hate about life" thread? I thought pet peeves were "minor annoyances." Like gnats flying around your head all the time.

There is no such thing as "evolved kind of feminist that hates men" that makes no sense, it's pure misandry and the opposite of feminism. People on the internet are just mistakenly calling it feminism because they don't know better. And I think of pet peeves and things to hate about life as the same really... Well maybe there are more small specific things.

For lack of a better term, his phrase made sense to me when I read it. It is unfortunate they people associate hatred of men with the term feminism, but feminism isn't really a singular ideology. People can incorporate in different ways just the same as with any ideology. Due to the poor portrayal of feminism in the media and in public, I once had a poor understanding of it - and honestly that is in part due to the word itself. Obviously it was intended to take females and promote equality, but ism words are almost always exclusive rather than inclusive.

It's intention was to push for females to have the same rights as men(voting, jobs, etc), and because men didn't really have any lack of rights that women had back then, it was called feminism. Maybe the term really does need to be changed now that there are things men do suffer which need fixing(very few such as child custody), but I still hate how this whole "modern feminist" thing is pretty much slandering the history and the word that intentionally was made for equality. There are women out there who call themselves feminist and are really just misandrists. They may be the root of the bad name of feminism, but it doesn't help that people accept them as being "feminist". I suppose "gender equality" is the best word, but not sure how to describe people who support it... gender equalists? I don't know. XD
