Zen Buddhism doesn't have any deities; other Buddhist denominations though I don't think the same applies. As long as there are people, there will always be violence irrespective of religion. Hate-filled Christians? Westboro. Fanatical Muslims? ISIS, al-Qaeda etc. Violent Buddhists? Just check out Myanmar's and Thailand's. Angry Hindus? Sri Lanka's history consists of a chockful of them.

Actually meister24 the amount of theistic Buddhist schools is about 50-50. Also, Wiratha may be an extremist, but he's not carrying out violence there. The Muslims in Myanmar and Thailand are as bad as the gypsies in Europe, really. They're left over from the Muslim parts of the Mongol Empire, and not native to the area. So no wonder they're afraid and defend themselves. I'm not condoning the murders that have happened, but the grand majority of conflict is the Muslim minority leveraging the religion neutral governments to try and get special treatment. Its like in Europe, you can't hit a gypsy if they steal from you, and you can't turn them into the police.

It would obviously depend on they're actual beliefs and practices. A satanist is a bit extreme though I think. A wiccan though? Fucking yeah why not? I love the witchcraft, it's amazing, people don't really know what witchcraft even is so...
