Why Did You Join MaiOtaku?

I was on a few normie dating sites before this, and never found anyone whom I could develop a connection with. Started wondering if there was a site tailored more toward geeks and otakus, and ended up here. And while I wish there were actually more people in my area, I haven't looked back.

The reason why I joined is because when I entered adolescense, I had unfortunately began to suffer from depression, and one of the things that helped me cope was cartoons/anime, and it helped me to make friends at a young age, so I thought why not try that again? And here I am, surrounded by others who are as passionate about it as I am or perhaps even more passionate than I am.
