It is not faked and there are way too many examples of this in everyday life that I've seen to believe it's cherry picked. And you're damn right it makes me angry.

The U.S. criminal justice system operates with de facto gender profiling of men for arrest for domestic violence. We are seen as the default bad guy. I am not saying that the cops never look out for anyone with a penis. But that even if a man is equally guilty to his partner in the level of violence or even the victim, that there is a strong chance that he will be the one leaving in cuffs.
