Well, write up some pros and cons and decide. You're not using this as a dating site; it's more like a social network. If you have good friends here that you enjoy talking to then you can always continue doing what you're doing now and pop on here in the evening when you can. If not, offer your friends here your IRL contact details and deactivate your account. I personally don't come on here much; I can literally go for two months without stopping by, but I never considered deactivating my account or announcing that I'm going on hiatus. Just let it happen.

Manga_bird, your comment is the best I've seen on this. Yeah, I am aware that this is mostly a social network site and I have made friends here which is why I wasn't sure whether or not to leave MO. I also made a new rule for myself to not spend much time on social media. Anyway thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll keep my account and visit from time to time.
