Anime english subbed or dubbed?

sailorghoul
The only dubbed anime I could ever tolerate was Naruto lol
hyfrix
I'd say subbed because english dubs sound very forced and can get really annoying but I can tell you by experience that not only english dubs have this issue but also every other language that is not japanese. I don't quite know why but japanese dubs sound much better, and part of it is because they put more emphasis or passion to it.

Personally I'm in the boat that likes dub, BUT if it's done well. I like hearing something in my own language so I can understand instead of having to rely on subtitles to fill me in. Some anime dubs I enjoy are Full Metal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, Cowboy Bebop, and Big O. That said, I'll quickly change to subs if the dub is terrible. Not all dubs are awful though. Although Japanese can sound a little too high pitched at times.

The best dub in existence is Ghost Stories, but any other anime I prefer sub

I personally prefer sub over dub , though for some shows like Panty x Stocking and BACCANO I prefer the dub over the sub.

If I can watch it dubbed, I'll probably do that, I like english, I also like being able to give all of my attention to the visuals instead of reading.

Depends, sometimes they do the opposite if it's a violent show like Attack on Titan. Tho a lot of times I'm not sure if the subs are less accurate or if the dub changed a sentence.

I tend to watch anime either subbed or dubbed, just depends on if Im looking to really get into the anime, or if I'm just playing it in the background :/
