What is the 1st anime you watched that turned you into an Otaku??

My first few were the ones on adult swim, or was it toonami? Which was Tenchi Muyo, Gundams, Trigun, Outlaw Star, and what ever else they used to play. They all just pulled me and and made me feel alive when I watched them and kept making me want more and more. By the way call me Kuzdo, I'm 27 and well I love anime! I've been watching since middle school so like 12 yearsish. But I'm shy when it come to letting people around me know I watch it.

I remember when it was on toonami and then got moved to adult swim....god I feel old lol. I actually loved alot of the old toonami line up especially zoids and gundam and it let me branch out and find the wonderful world of manga (paper format of anything is always better)

Hello, My name is Brandon and I am 32. I watched a few anime before this "otakunator", but what really turned me into an avid fan of anime was the original Full Metal Alchemist.

I'm not really an Otaku; I heard that word connotes an excessive love for Japanese culture and what not and I'm not there yet. But the first anime that introduced me to that world was Naruto. What solidified it was Full Metal Alchemist.

The first Anime when i knew what an anime was would probably Bleach. But the first one I saw when I didn't know was Outlaw Star.
