Polling tax, and other requirements to vote

Theoretically, it's not hard no. But scheduling can be kinda tricky. Like for me personally, it's hard to schedule when I have classes/meetings/rotations from 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday. And even though I know that there are laws that say I can't be penalized for taking off to vote, the amount of makeup work I'd have to do is kinda daunting. I mean, if it were any other time period not before exam week, it'd be doable. I'm actually hoping to get it done next week when I have a bit of a gap and hopefully when the lines for early voting in my area aren't 3+ hours :p

In most every other countries with a democratic vote, poll day is a national holiday, allowing people the opportunity to vote.

Well, I'm glad I'm not on a hospital shift that day. If I couldn't leave because a lot was going on with my patients, I guess I would be a degenerate.
