The Man Who Sees

never_more
I've gotten alot of questions over the years. One of which is, why do I pretend to be something I'm not. Becuase sometimes I don't like the person I am, sometimes I don't like the person I could become. Another question, what happened to my eye? The answer is always the same. It's mostly symbolic mind you, but in my mind, each eye sees the world differently. One, sees the world as we'd like it do be. Where all our wants, our ambitions, our dreams are fulfilled. But the other eye, sees the world for what it really is, a more realistic view of how things really are. So people finally ask. Which eye did I lose. My answer, which one do you think? The world isn't what we want, it's what we make out to be. We accept the flaws and make the best of it. While at the same time, accepting the fact that some dreams won't come true, some ambitions won't be fulfilled, and some hopes will be dashed. Yeah my eye sight might not be as good as it once was, but, to tell you the truth. I see the world clearer now then I ever did before. Amazing what you gain, when you lose. I traded my eye of fantasy, for a sight of actuality.
