Okay to take a break on a RPG?

I think taking a break from an RPG is a great idea, especially if it's ridiculously long and huge (huehue). Although if it's REALLY good and can keep me gripped then I don't mind playing it from start to finish without any lengthy breaks. The only games I felt that could do that were Dark Souls, Morrowind, Fallout: New Vegas, Darksiders 2, Lord of the Fallen and probably S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl.

Taking a break would be a good idea. You can take a break by playing non-RPG games. Just don't take too long to go back, because you might forget what you were doing in the RPG.

I feel like it depends on how long the game is and if it is heavily story driven. If an rpg doesn't rely on story very much like skyrim then i could take quite a while off of it but when its a game like final Fantasy i get lost if i take a break for to long.

No dude, you don't just pause a story like that.

Only ever took one long break from a game, myself. Was the last boss of one of the Lunar games. For whatever reason, it simply kept kicking my butt. Boot up the game a few months later and beat it first try. Just quietly facepalmed to myself after.

Taking a break from an RPG if you find yourself getting frustrated with it for whatever reason is more than an okay reason, after all. Why play a game if you're not having fun playing it right?
