Kakeru was kind of a dick at the end of this episode. He's got a lot of really great friends putting out all kinds of effort to help him. And he's to busy being an emo pity-pot to notice. This really cute girl totally likes me. But I can't date her and just enjoy the present because someday down the road, I might be gone. Well shit, someday we might all be gone. Don't throw away a happy today, on a slim chance bad tomorrow. Suwa should just date her? Well crap. Because you're blowing your chances now with those crappy emo lines, it'll be Kakeru's loss when Suwa's ends up marrying her in the future. He should have seized the opportunity when he had the chance. Don't let those moments pass you by cause you're to busy feeling sorry for yourself. If he keeps feeling sorry for himself, he's going to sabotage himself until he eventually does kill himself. Self-pity is poison that will rot your soul. All he's gotta do is let it go, and let himself have fun with his friends. It's a really pain in the ass trying to save someone that doesn't want to be saved.

Not at all. That's the beauty of having a different perspective. What you said makes total sense. Thank you for that insight. I don't think he should be expected to get over it either. But his line of thinking is a mistake. He already decided he's going to give up on life. It's not like I can't relate. But you shouldn't give up like that. It's one thing to die from illness, and another to kill yourself. By killing himself, he took the pain he was feeling, multiplied it by 5 and then inflicted it on his friends. Now 5 more people are suffering the same loss and regret his mother put him through. The problem with trying to protect someone from your own death like that, is that you deny them and yourself the good memories as well. And in Kakeru case, he's denying himself a much needed reason to live.

They finally brought up what happens to Suwa and Naho if Kakeru lives. Talk about an awkward conversation. As a side note, I love Murasaka's hat. She's the best character in this story by far.

I read the manga already and got the feels. It was good. Saw some clips of the anime. I don't know if I want to experience them feels again.

Okay... I wouldn't want to watch Clannad again either for the same reason. So don't blame you there.

Agreed, Azu is definitely best character. Suwa is up there too, though, and I kind of find Furukawa Makoto's voice relaxing (I wonder if that's weird?) as a side note, I actually enjoyed rewatching Clannad, although I've also went back to specifically watch episode 3 of SAO so maybe I'm just weird in that regard. (I've even watched Your Lie in April 3 or so times)

Episode 11 Spoiler... (sorry) I wouldn't call it weird. Everybody reacts to the emotional scenes differently. Suwa is an awesome character, but he made a monumental mistake in that last episode. And Kakeru turned into a total jerk again. Some serious anger issues, breaking an expensive smart phone just cause she called him after a fight? You know you can just ignore the call.
