14-16 sounds reasonable, yeah. I think in Germany it even is like that.

Uuh yeah. If you are 21 or older you must not have sex with people under 16. But between people below that age everything is allowed, basically.

16 is the minimum age for legal consensual sex in the UK. Anyone under that in the UK and you can face criminal charges. Anyone over 18 can not have sex with someone under 18 if the person holds a position of trust http://www.fpa.org.uk/factsheets/law-on-sex

a teacher, social worker etc.. sexual activity with someone under 18 when you are 18 or over and meet that criteria then it is abuse of the position of trust.

16 is the age of consent in my state no matter the age of the other person. I think views on sex and age of consent are skewed along with sex ed. Most 12yo know more about sex these days than most 18yo 50 years ago but the age of consent keeps going up in that time. For all of human history until the last few decades the age of consent was pretty much "Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed" (menstrus).
