I just recently played shovel knight and loved it. It's good to see some of the classic type games make a comeback. What are your thoughts

Symphony of the night or Super Metroid Top-tier Metroidvanias. (Though these are kinda obvious.)

Hmm... I don't really think of Shovel Knight as Metroidvania, but anyway... I like Cave Story. One of the first truly great indie games.

Shantae and Guacamelee are pretty close to that style

Personally, I'm really liking how Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is coming along. I have faith in Mr Igavania that he'll make an awesome game. Also fuck Konami.
