Some advice for you guys

Sorry to hear that, sites with dating in mind often tend to be quite vicious when it comes to female members. The favourite anime question etc.. could have been solved by looking at the anime list provided by mo. Most of the people who watch anime aren't interested in the industry which is a shame since it has every relevance.. but you are right, to each their own :P A lot of people here tend to forget that everyone has a life outside of mo and will not be able to reply instantly. Generic greetings can get very boring after a while which is completely understandable. That sounds quite annoying but I think they are trying to talk in a stereotypical way girls would like ie, something they read online or in a book which most of the time is only based on one person not all of them. That's fair enough, most have already been driven away which is quite sad but proves these places can be quite toxic.

I agree that all the generic greetings and such, so not bothering to answer is just normal. The ratio is also probably true; there are a lot more guys than girls, sure there's a reason for it. And the questions about favorite anime all the time is very worn out and can just get annoying, or the "how are you" or the "How has your day been" too, I think. Well idk if I have much to say in this matter x3

Anyways,I'm speculating that you haven't really thought about the different aspects of being on a dating websites in general. Normally, most men are thirsty as hell, so they're going to swarm you like moths to a flame. In addition, most men have problems approaching or hitting on women in person, so you could expect that some of those weird tendencies to transfer online as well. Overall, most men are suppose to seem repetitive, bland and boring but the point is for you to filter through until you find that "one" that stands out. I know it sucks but you have to realize that being on an Anime website means to expect everyone and I mean EVERYONE to use that topic as an opener. Pointing it out isn't going to change the nature of the website to specify your needs. I'm sure that there are other people that feels the same as you but they found their own way of being receptive towards it. You should just do what you need to do to get the most experience out of this site until you're satisfied. Personally, I don't really see this as a dating website but rather as a cool place to talk about things with people with similar interests. Anyways... This is just how I see things I'm sure others feel differently and what not. I hope you find what you're looking for one way or another but enjoy your stay here!

I actually ask everyone (including people I don't want to date) what their favorite anime is only because I'm terrible at conversation and just want some friends. Right now dating for me probably isn't a good idea, especially since I don't want to rush into something. I'd rather be someone's friend first and see where it goes because I don't want to walk into something that I regret later. I know I sometimes come off as "generic" and "unoriginal" but when you have aspergers it's hard to communicate like everyone else sometimes.

I stopped when i saw "i get to pick from a wide variety of guys" not everyone is desperate here your just talking to the thirsty guys...the ones who will be "forever alone" they are the ones trying hard. As for the picture thing many have their reasons whether it be they arent confident in their looks, self esteem issues etc. Mine personally is that i dont want my pic up on the internet (^^; sort of already too late for that XD) but if you ask for a pic from me a pic is what you will get. Its a dating site before anything so keep that in mind. The home page even says "anime dating" in the url it might seem like a pretty shitty version of a dating site but its still a dating site. If anything i agree that the desperate ones arent going anywhere what they dont understand is calling every girl who has a pic up beautiful shows up on their newsfeed and it just seems like yeah ok they are beautiful to you so you wanna get with them and they dont care about personality they just want a gf
