Yes you're right. But we are not actually seeing a n-dimensional object in it's proper nth dimension. We are seeing a projection of that n-dimensional object on our 3D space. We are seeing only the cross sections. Imagine a flatlander living on a piece of 2D paper. Where the 2D paper is the universe for the flatlander. Now pass a 3D cube through that 2D paper universe. The flatlanders would see the cross sections of the cube. But the flatlanders wouldn't able to see the entire cube proper. Now extend that dimensional analogy to a higher dimension. We are 3D beings. Now imagine passing a 4D cube through our 3D spatial dimension. We would see 3D cross sections of that 4D cube in our universe. But we would not see the entire tesseract proper. @frozenxheavens

I feel sorry for some of the women that join this site. I will read their bio and think "wow this girl seems cool" then see who is on their friend's list and just not even try to make an attempt. They will be gone from the site in a week anyway. Some of the dudes here honestly kill the vibe.
