No, I am of Polish descent (Western Slav), born and raised in the US. I consider the southern Slavs to be kin and it saddens me when Slavs hate, fight, or kill other Slavs, especially when it didn't have to be that way. I would love to go see cities like Belgrade, Dubrovnik, Sarajevo and others...

@Enki Nice! Don’t Northern China tend to be more Patriotic though because they are closer to the Capital? Only thing I learn from my Grandma is, Soup is Life!

I hope you do visit those places. Fighting is a part of us unfortunately. I'd like to see some places calm down so I can visit them one day.

Not really. I'd like to visit Iraq since the Sumerians were once there. Also, Syria since the assassin, hashshashin, started there too. I believe some parts of Central America are still dangerous too. I'd be interested to see more Aztec ruins. Other places on my list are fairly safe though.

As far as I have read, Southern China is more rebellious and patriotic, example:＜Hong XiuQuan, he was from Guangxi;He rebelled against the Manchurian government＞;＜Sun YetSen;He brought the new political system to China, he also wanted to overthrow the Manchurian government~He is from Guangdong~＞.Thanks to the distance, Han Chinese who hated the Manchurian government and those policies hid themselves in South China expecting to drive Manchurian aristocrats away someday. Northern Chinese back then already surrended.. Yeah!Soup! I collected so many books about Guangdong's soups! And women! Women who can be good wives. Guangdong...in some underdeveloped places there, due to neo-Confucianism, women are still bound by traditional values..Sons are regarded to be more important than daughters..

Iraq and Syria would be interesting to see. I'd also like to visit Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, and Egypt, maybe Bahrain and Dubai.

Bahrain would be cool. Some say the Garden of Eden was there. Rome, Athens, and Cairo are probably the big three for me.
