Incest and incest undertones

Incest in real life is decadent, and wrong. Especially when a kid is conceived, most likely he/she will end up disabled in some way. 1st - 3rd cousins is considered a danger zone. Unfortunately anime carries such undertones, and the youth don't really think deeply enough about how bad it really is.

As long as they don't reproduce idgaf in real life. But all that incesty stuff gives me the creeps as I myself have siblings. So I don't and wouldn't watch it.

I'm the youngest of 5 siblings and I still think shoujoxshoujoxshoujo is a really good anime. Sometimes you gotta watch what makes you uncomfortable to appreciate the art in it. Hence I can objectively say when the imouto trope is used pointlessly because I know good examples of it being done.

@Bane I get what you're saying, I guess, but your argumentation is a little off. According to your argument I might see art in a terrorist attack if I watch it long enough and feel really uncomfortable about it. Is there really no other reason for you liking incestuous anime?

In a post modernist world I guarantee you there are people that have thought like that. And hey, you're free to do so. Just don't act on it and get your dumbass arrested and endanger people. That kinda stuff is why fiction is a thing to express it. The use of incestuous characters only holds merit to me as a compelling plot device. I appreciate it being done well. Hell it can even play on taboo thoughts to give me greater awareness of how dark a human mind can go. If something gives you a profound experience. Appreciate it because it very few and far between in the monotony of everyday life.

I won't. You do you, I'll do me. There are many other amazing animes to appreciate that don't involve incest. I definitely like watching thought provoking animes that might push my boundaries but incest does nothing for me. No thoughts provoked whatsoever. And as much as people are free to see art in terrorism, I am free to see nothing in incest.

I watched one soft Hentai anime. Each episode was a alternate girl. The last one was his sister. The terrible plot was already making me cringe but the sister part over did it. I watched another anime were the sister was in this rich guy's harem. That anime made it less uncomfortable but know that your sister is one of them is concerning. I'll watch anime with incest until it makes me uncomfortable.
