I agree with the last part, people became too complacent. It was all there for the eyes to see, but people let things happen. Now we have high crime, drug usage, and all that. They should've stayed firm to morality, and not be docile.
differentdrum I agree with your last post, the only thing I can think of that the US has done good in is in the film industry they have mange to make films that have been seen all over the world, many other countries films are only seen by a small group of people in other countries. Also US even though I've never been there I think is good that they have so much land to travel, but it seems many people don't notice it.
>They should've stayed firm to morality, and not be docile.
Not something you can regulate in a democracy. There is no universal morality.
>we usually make good films
Not always. Lion King is a blatant ripoff of Kimba The White Lion, Inception is very similar to Paprika, Hunger Games is nothing more than Battle Royale, and most action movies people remember, like Taken, are actually directed by foreigners.
>sports
You watch an hour of a game, you see like 10 mins of game time and 50 mins of pointless bullshit. >musicSome is very good, some is terrible. I personally can't really stand rap/hip-hop, the metal scene, rock and alternative all do pretty decent works, but attributing that to the US itself is silly. We're talking characteristics, and not culture.>a few great graduate schoolsThat still can't get over allegations of professors white-washing history or subjects.
We also have quite a few great graduate schools (The Ivies to be generic).
