What is worse, too excited or too jaded?

blueroselover
@neko I included the word "too" for a reason. I understand that a person can be a little of both. I'm specifically asking which trait is more irritating in large quantities. Just like a chipper person isn't necessarily always happy.

For me too excited annoys me, but sometimes I welcome it because their enthusiasm is refreshing.

id say jaded cuz while im a bit of a downer, there comes a point when its just depressing.

I'm a bit jaded but try to be excited about things doesn't always work out

@ฅ(=^・ェ・^=)ฅ vampire_neko: I kinda understand what your trying to say but I still pick too jaded, while you may say that all jaded people are not the same or created equally even, you very well may be one of the rare cases were you have accepted your jadedness but have decided not to push your ideas or complaints onto others but people who are genuinely happy will not complain about anything or even compare you to another that is called a jaded person who is happy at that moment & is upset at the fact that your not happy with them. lol Now this is coming from some one who is outwardly jaded seeming but it is only because most things to me are boring & that doesn't mean I have experience in everything, just certain experiences kinda make a huge difference. I do portray the bored & lack of interest attitude but there are a huge amount of negative outcomes that could other wise be avoid due to overly jaded people. it is literally like comparing walking aka jaded to flying aka excited then being forced to walk for the remaining years of your life... no way would you be ok with that less you are just scared of heights. lol Most jaded people do complain allot, they are just so unaware because it is a habit to beat themselves up, compare things & people so much that they're doing "jaded acts" aren't brought to their attention till a issue occurs done in the presence of someone willing to say "hey, man.. chill out." but usually even then it is usually turned into a defense mechanism, so 80% will stubbornly deny that it is having any negative impact on them. Example: someone telling you to your face that your not good enough for them, even tho you showed no interest in them lol... or even trying to explain cause & effect to said jaded person is usually harder, especially for someone who is said jaded & is a good person at heart but likes to back stab there friends out of habit due to the fact that they are scared of getting hurt themselves... & for those people who need a negative of excited, it can come off as fake or you may help people to much & they wind up taking advantage or even just get so use to you being chipper that a negative person will just unload there issues on you thinking it is ok to mistreat said person to try to get a raise out of or to make themselves feel better that particular day...

I get tired of people who are always cynical and jaded. To me, it's like you think you're better than everyone else, and you're the only one who sees the world for what it is. Either that or it's "the world's always out to get me. I have things so difficult, oh, won't you think of me and my problems?" They commonly ignore the struggles of others and only think of their own situations. Either way, it's just such a tiring mindset. Certainly, mindless optimism is annoying in large doses, but the hint of supposed superiority that some jaded people have is the dagger for me. Everyone wants to be Raven from Teen Titans, but no one can be Raven from Teen Titans. You ain't fucking special (and you don't wear a sexy cloak and leotard).

. . . I can't handle over excited people. I could handle those who are done with life as I would help them try to see the slight better things and I was one of them. B-being excited about everything 24/7 is not my cup of tea. I would understand if it's like new beginnings of relationship but.. no.. just.. no.

Both extremes are bad, but being jaded is worse. Having that much negativity around you can weigh you down and ruin your mood.

If we are talking about extreme cases then they are both as bad as each other. I would prefer them to be in the middle of the two or even slightly leaning more towards one trait than the other.
