@Elder I sort of agree. This however goes for other things as well, which will make it quite a horrible subject. Is it for example the choice of a gay person to show affection with his partner in public? I've established that being gay is not a choice, but showing it in public is. Is it than okay to shame gay people because they show their affection in public? That's a scary thought. Where is the line, though. Crossdressing is a choice too. No matter what you feel like, you could also decide to lie to yourself, therefor it is a choice. Does that make it okay to shame crossdressers?

No, the idea that you're presenting your love in public is fine - if you ban pdas between homosexual couples, then you have to ban it between hetero couples. That is first amendment freedom of expression right there. The thing about being obese is, everything about it is a choice. You make the choice whether to eat a cookie or a carrot. You make a choice whether to work out or not. You make a choice to eat a normal sized portion or a portion 3-5 times the size of a normal portion. You have the choice to be healthy. And being obese means you consciously are making all of those choices at once. In my opinion, we shouldn't accomodate for fat people because its not a disability - its a choice.
