Markas Kevmorn (OC Char Background)

I wrote a character background for an OC a while back. Maybe you lot will enjoy it. Please excuse any grammatical mistakes. I ain't British or American but did my best to filter out any mistakes.. Enjoy! Markas is an half elf who originated from the Desert plains in the south. His parents and his half-sibling Cristia, who was a human derived from a previous marriage of Markas his mother. He and his younger sister both were born and grew up in a slum denizens. As a result Markas developed a poverty-stricken social trait which shimmered through his behaviour. Both his parents, a Elf male and a human female, worked in service of a local ruler as entertainers, unable to find decent work for a decent pay. Amongst their work, more often than not both him and his sister were audited to perform aside their parents as a family giving him a special talent for entertainment even if this felt degenerative to himself. Aside from the performances done, his childhood was fairly ordinary with no major blessing or catastrophe—a stark contrast to an adventuring life. He lived your life in anticipation of growing up so he could affect the dull backdrop upon which his mundane life was painted. Now that He’s grown, it's easy to miss those tranquil days where nothing ever seemed to happen. Markas always had an innocent expression and a silver tongue, so naturally He was recruited as a spy during his childhood working for the ruler of his province to provide information to discover anyone who tried to cause for an uprising. In his circle of disparate associates, there was someone everyone knew. This person collected friends like trophies, and she had contacts in every social or professional circle. Through this connection, he continued to meet and associate with a wide variety of people in every walk of life. However, all this came at a price. As the land was filled with Elfs and Humans alike, he often fell prey to the race purity which haunted him. Halflings were far from special, but they always seemed to have an underdog position and thus often became victims of extortion, bullying and even murder. His hatred for those kinds took a toll in his late teens, resulting in the death of several older men overnight. His hatred let him to grab two blades. Those blades soon became something he would never let go off, offering protection and safety from anyone who dared to threaten him. Eventually, he became known for his agility and precision and soon became an assassin for the ruler who ordered him to assassinate his childhood friend Assyla. Assyla knew everyone, and was good friends with Markas from a young age. It was that day the man decided to disobey orders and not kill someone. The ruler however, came aware of this and took the rest of the family captive, forcing his hand on killing her. Markas assassinated Assyla in reluctance using his friendship to gain close and personal access to the female. He felt like a betrayer in hindsight, and after the release of his family, disappeared to seek a new life elsewhere, sickened by his previous way of living under tyranny, oppression and discrimination. It was then Markas find Farspire, and his new life could begin…
