I was just trying to say that you have the power to make changes in your life to make it better even if it takes a long time. But if you don't then you are just going to keep feeling this way.

You're stuck in emotional masochism phase. Like you are trying to punish yourself. You even said something similar in relation to your bf. To the effect that you like being treated bad in certain ways. Everyone tries to help you but you rarely accept anybodies help.

Sorry, I used to be but it never seemed to make much difference. So I was being a bit harsher. Everyone has been trying to help for months.

You could have explained who are first lol tough love only works after the person is no longer is upset when they have a chance to reflect on things, right off the bat only pushes them further down the rabbit hole in my experience.
