Learning Japanese

Have any of you ever dated someone that was fluent in Japanese? lol back then i used to date a japanese girl and my Japanese got better but thats because i was already studying japanese and i had someone to talk to that knew that language and now that i don't i feel like im forgetting most of what i learned lol

My ex-fiancee knew more than the usual amount of common words and slang, but over the years she started watching subs rarely enough that I think she lost most of that. My ex non-fiancee was bilingual... in French. I learned a bit of French from her, but we got broken up before we could discuss starting to have completely-bilingual conversations for immersion learning.
